*Our 31x31 Campaign ran from April 1st 2010 to May 31st 2010. We really appreciate the generosity you've shown to Little Lights Urban Ministries, and our Teen Interns are also very appreciative of your efforts.

THE GOAL:
Raise $31,000 by May 31 for teen programs and outreach at Little Lights.*

THE NEED:
Opportunities to work, learn, and thrive for teenagers in Southeast DC.

Little Lights currently employs 12 Teen Interns, who contribute greatly to our programs for younger children, but the grant supporting the internship expires after this school year. Help us continue to hire teens in the community for 2010-2011 and beyond!

TEEN INTERNS:
  • Work as paid program assistants with our K-8th grade after-school programs, giving each child more one-to-one attention.
  • Give back to their community and set great examples as productive and responsible teenagers.
  • Receive job skills training, mentoring, and emotional support.

    Every week community teenagers ask about open positions at Little Lights Urban Ministries.

    *Little Lights is focused on maintaining and expanding our programs for teens, but we reserve the right to apply 31x31 gifts to our most urgent financial needs.
