The Fellows program is a full-time program (40 hours per week) to join the Little Lights community with an opportunity to work hands-on at Little Lights Urban Ministries.
A limited number of 12-month fellowships are available for those interested in serving families in need in Washington, DC. Fellows work 40 hours per week assisting in after school programs (Elementary/Middle School students), providing administrative support, working on spiritual growth, and developing community with other staff and families we serve.
The programs that Little Lights provides for children include after-school homework and tutoring, weekly Bible studies, youth group, choir, and more. As a fellow, you will be able to help both with planning and implementing the program. Serving as a fellow is truly a life-changing experience, both for you and for the kids you will impact through your time here.
As a fellow, you must raise approximately $500-$600 per month for the rest of your living expenses.
If you would like more information on the fellowship program, or would like to apply, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mijin Paik (fellows@littlelights.org, 202-548-4021.)

"It's been six months since I started working here as Little Lights' first fellow. Needless to say, it's never a dull day when you're working with people like the staff and kids here! I am grateful for this unique opportunity to work here. I've seen what it 's like behind the scenes of a non-profit organization. There are deadlines to make, mailings that need to be sent out, and even cleaning that needs to be done. However, what makes the opportunity unique is that I've also been invited to be a part of this community that has a deep care and concern for each other and for the people we work with. So thank you Little Lights for this chance to experience God in a new way. Being the local fellow has been a great blessing, and I hope future fellows will feel the same way!"
