Little Lights Fellows Program

The Fellows program is a full-time program (40 hours per week) to join the Little Lights community with an opportunity to work hands-on at Little Lights Urban Ministries.

A limited number of 12-month fellowships are available for those interested in serving families in need in Washington, DC. Fellows work 40 hours per week assisting in after school programs (Elementary/Middle School students), providing administrative support, working on spiritual growth, and developing community with other staff and families we serve.

The programs that Little Lights provides for children include after-school homework and tutoring, weekly Bible studies, youth group, choir, and more. As a fellow, you will be able to help both with planning and implementing the program. Serving as a fellow is truly a life-changing experience, both for you and for the kids you will impact through your time here.

Little Lights provides for all of our Fellows:

  • Free housing (including all utilities, laundry, and high speed internet access)
  • Health Insurance (up to $200 per month)
  • Weekly Spiritual Development with the staff
  • Minimum of two one-to-one meetings during your year with the Executive Director
  • Community living with other Fellows and staff

As a fellow, you must raise approximately $500-$600 per month for the rest of your living expenses.

If you would like more information on the fellowship program, or would like to apply, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mijin Paik (fellows@littlelights.org, 202-548-4021.)
