Other Ways to Get Involved
One-time or short-term Service
Little Lights can use the expertise of volunteers who are willing to help with short-term projects, annual events, program development, or administration. Some things we can usually use help with are:
- Fundraising Events/Drives - Throughout the year, we could use help with grant writing, mail campaigns, Change the City campaign, and other fundraising drives.
- Mailings - Stamping, stuffing, addressing, etc.
- Administrative - Data-entry, card/flyer cutting, and booklet binding/putting together staff notebooks and binders.
- Organizing our mountains of files, folders, supplies, etc.
- Special Events - Assist in Little Lights’ annual “Ignite the Light” fundraising banquet, Christmas Party, Christmas gift drive, Talent Show, volunteer appreciation dinner, or other events.
- Event Space - Donate event space for Little Lights events.
A/V savvy?
- Help with technical difficulties.
- Run the sound system during special events like our Ignite the Light Banquet, Christmas Party, Talent Show, and others.
Geek Squad
- We need ongoing help with maintaining and fixing network and computer problems.
