Boys' and Girls' Night

Boys' and Girls' Night (held separately) focus on building character and leadership skills for students in 5th-8th grade. We lead Bible studies, work on academics, participate in recreational activities, and help out through community service.

Youth Night

Youth Night provides Bible study and worship for high-school students. Teens worship together, hear a message, have small groups, and play games.


Gospel Choir

Monday, 4 - 6pm

The Gospel Choir is a music program with approximately 12-15 children. The singing and dancing choir meets weekly and performs at numerous functions throughout the city.


Saturday DiP

Where

Potomac Gardens Units

Saturday, 10am-2pm

Saturday DiP offers groups the opportunity to spend time with the children and youth of Potomac Gardens. The day is filled with fun, games, and lunch, provided by your group.


Mentoring Program

Provide guidance and encouragement for a young person through one-on-one and planned group activities.


Volunteer Requirements
For NEW volunteers:
  1. Completed Little Lights Volunteer Application
  2. Attendance to one LL New Volunteer Orientation
  3. Attendance to all necessary program-specific trainings
  4. Up-to-date negative TB record
  5. $15 cash or check (payable to "Little Lights Urban Ministries," only non-student volunteers are required to pay) to help pay for background checks which can cost up to $50
  6. Completed Release Authorization Form
For RETURNING volunteers:
  1. Up-to-date TB records
  2. Attendance to all necessary program-specific trainings
  3. Any of the aforementioned "NEW" volunteer requirements, if you have not taken care of them before (including attendance to a New Volunteer Orientation!)
