31x31: You Did It!
Wow! THANK YOU to the many donors who rallied with us to raise $31,000 for teen programs and outreach at Little Lights! We reached our goal, with two weeks to spare, and we’re thankful that teenagers in the community can continue working as part-time program assistants with Little Lights. . . they learn from us and we learn so much from them.
But we’re not finished yet. . . a generous donor has committed to matching the next $2,500 we receive in online donations, but only through the end of May.
These funds will support additional teen outreach like Youth Night, as well as an exciting new project. . .
As you know, Little Lights seeks to be a sustainable, holistic ministry by providing support and resources not only for elementary and middle school students, but also for teenagers, adults and entire families.
The Teen Internship has been a successful step in this direction, and we’re excited to announce the next big step!
An additional apartment unit at Potomac Gardens has been granted to Little Lights, and we envision a Job Center and Computer Lab to be used by older teens and adults in the community. We look forward to collaborating with other organizations and businesses to provide crucial resources in this space!
Please stay tuned for more news about the new unit, and please contact me if you’d like to strategize with us on the best use of this space.
Your support is critical as we commit to walk beside students and families throughout all stages of life and seek lasting, positive change in the neighborhood.
Please consider giving (take advantage of the match and double the impact of your gift!), and consider making a continuing impact through the Ignite the Light monthly partnership.
Thank you as always for your friendship, support, and prayers.

Congratulations, Little Lights and the teen interns! The Internship program literally changes lives and it warms my heart to know that so many people stepped up in a big way to support it.
It fills me with a great sense of pride to be able to say that I am connected with you all, even if it’s only in a small way.
Way to go!
