More Than Cut and Paste

image

This semester, the students in our weekly Boys’ Night worked on an art project to close out our series of Bible studies through the Old and New Testaments. In preparation, we recalled our discussions about the challenges of the kings of Israel, as well as the life of the apostle and early church hero Paul. Over the course of several weeks, the boys created a three-paneled multicolored decoupage layered with captioned illustrations, comic book-styled renderings of Bible stories, and paraphrased scriptures. It was a great opportunity for the boys to synthesize what they learned and present it in a creative way. We look forward to exhibiting the product of their hard work to the Potomac Gardens community at our closing ceremonies this year.
