Since 2008, The UPS Store and Marines for Tots have provided more than 32.8 million books and educational resources to disadvantaged youth across the nation through the Toys for Tots Literacy Program.

The UPS Store on Capitol Hill is just 1 of the 3 stores, owned by Michael Phillips, that collects donations in support of the Toys for Tots Literacy Program. A few weeks ago, Michael reached out to Little Lights because he desired to see children on Capitol Hill receive access to grade level books.

All five of our sites now have a much wider selection of books for our students to read from thanks, in large part, to The UPS Store and Michael for their $2,700 donation worth of children’s literature!

Each of our students will also be able to take a book of their choice home with them!

We are grateful to Michael and The UPS Store for creating pathways of access and opportunity and ensuring that every child has the ability to enhance their reading at home and in their communities.
