Homework Club Tutor
Commitment: Monday-Thursday from 3:30-6pm, commit to 1 day/week
About: After-school homework-help program for students preK-8th grade
Role: Help students complete their homework and other academic activities, or help facilitate recreation/meal time.

Reading Heroes Tutor
Commitment: Weekly on Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm, arrive ~5:45pm. Volunteers can miss no more than 2 sessions/semester
About: One-to-one reading tutoring program for kindergarten through 8th grade students
Role: Each tutor walks through an individualized learning plan with the same student each week, helping each student reach grade-level literacy.

Math Heroes Tutor
Commitment: Weekly on Thursdays 6-7:30pm, arrive ~5:45pm. Volunteers can miss no more than 2 sessions/semester
About: One-to-one math tutoring program for kindergarten through 8th grade students
Role: Each tutor walks through an individualized learning plan with the same student each week, helping each student reach grade-level proficiency in math.

The Gathering Volunteer
Commitment: Fridays 6-8:30pm. Commit to 1-2 days/month
About: Worship service attended by adults in the community
Role: Greeting guests, setting up and cleaning up, providing child care for children during the service.

Girls Night Volunteer
Commitment: Weekly on Wednesdays 6-7:30pm
About: Community group and Bible study for girls 4th grade & up
Role: Facilitating small group discussion, bringing snacks to share, presenting material, relationship-building with girls.

Boys Night Volunteer
Commitment: Weekly on Mondays 6-7:30pm
About: Community group and Bible study for guys 4th grade & up
Role: Facilitating small group discussion, developing study curriculum, relationship-building.

Choir Volunteer
Commitment: Weekly on Fridays 3:30-5:30pm
About: Gospel Choir for Little Lights students. Practices are weekly, includes occasional performances in DMV areaRole: Support Choir Director by monitoring students, vocal coaching, playing instrument, etc., depending on availability and areas of need.
