The second annual Do More 24 crowdfunding campaign powered by United Way of the National Capital Area (United Way NCA) raised more than $1.1 million in online donations, cash prizes, bonus funds and in-kind support for more than 560 nonprofits serving the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland. During the 24-hour giving marathon, 11,358 donors made donations through the Do More 24 website.Top overall online donation earners were Joseph’s House ($36,304), Friends of Homeless Animals ($28,594) and Little Lights Urban Ministries ($26,516).
