It’s wonderful to see what students can learn and achieve over the course of just one school year.
Trevon, a 6th grader at Northeast Academy, received two awards this year for his outstanding effort and improvement in Math. In addition to his awards, his hard work also earned him a spot on the honor roll!
At the awards ceremony, Trevon was cheered on by his Little Lights mentor, Dana.
It’s been a great year of growth for Trevon, who has been encouraged and supported by Dana since they were matched in 2012.
Along with his academic success, Dana sees Trevon “growing into a more mature and responsible young teenager.”
The pair enjoy a variety of activities, like playing Madden football on Xbox, attending church, and going bowling together.
Little Lights is thankful to have dedicated and caring mentors like Dana, who are making a life-changing impact in our students’ lives.
